I'm Buffey Wright Bourassa. I bring more than a decade of public service, Tribal leadership, and community advocacy to my campaign for Mendocino County Supervisor, District 3. Born and raised in Mendocino County, I've spent my career working across departments and communities to strengthen public safety, support recovery, expand economic opportunity, and build respectful partnerships with Tribal Nations.

My commitment is simple: listen to residents, bring people together, and deliver practical solutions that improve quality of life for local families. With integrity, accountability, and collaboration, I'm ready to serve.

With 11+ years of experience in Mendocino County government, I've worked across multiple departments, giving me first hand knowledge of the systems that support our county services, public wellness, and workforce stability.

Through my leadership, I've built strong working relationships with tribal governments, community partners, and federal agencies—giving me a unique understanding of intergovernmental processes, tribal sovereignty, and community-driven solutions.

I’ll strengthen coordination between behavioral health, public safety, healthcare, and community partners to expand prevention, treatment, and reentry support — helping people get back on their feet while improving safety.

I’ll work with employers and training programs to grow apprenticeships and skills pathways that match real local needs like construction, healthcare, infrastructure, forestry, and emerging green jobs.
